Elvenar Woodelves – Day 06 [20%]

So, we’re in day 6 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves – Day 05). Today I have sniped another important research – workshop upgrades. And now we’re running multiple workshop upgrades in the city! But will we have enough supplies to activate research, upgrade workshops, produce orcs and build troops at the breakneck speed? Now this is a good question…

City changes

OK, so nothing as exciting as yesterday’s barracks upgrade happened today πŸ˜‰ I am still running with 13 willows, and have completed couple of more residence upgrades. But now I have unlocked workshops upgrade, and when I have pop and orcs, I will focus on upgrading workshops to L22 to place them in the final position – in the top row. I need to start clearing out that space for the incoming Woodelves settlement.

So I am upgrading 2x L20 to L21, and 1x from L21 to L22. And that last one is already in the target position. Finally, some progress here!

Going forward, pop and orcs will be a constraining factor, so I will be upgrading residences, and as soon as I get enough pop and orcs for a workshop upgrade I would do so.

Oh yeah, and will all the excitement around the barracks I forgot to mention that I have upgraded my Needles of the Tempest AW to L7. Well, that also gave me a light range damage improvement πŸ˜‰

Elvenar Woodelves progress

It was a pretty decent day from a research progress perspective. I ninja’ed another key research today – workshops upgrade. This required negotiating the last scouted provinces, but I got it done at the last moment. So now I have 222 completed provinces – this is Halflings territory! πŸ˜‰

So now I have all T1 manufactories open for research, and I have started with my boost – planks. This is also the most expensive from the mana perspective at 45K, but I already have more than enough for that.

So far, I am keeping up with my projected progression rate of ~60KP a day (actually, it is about 66KP/day so far), but I ran out of easy KP boosts for now. The next big inflow of KPs would come from the tournament, especially day 2. Well, I have plenty of research to sink those into, and I have enough mana to cover the requirements. We’re on track here so far!

Steel Tournament – recovery and preparation

Recovery mode is still on from the tournament perspective. And what a recovery it is! I am still in awe at the power of L25 barracks. There is still tons of time before the next tournament, but I am already at 50+ squads trained. Curious to see what the final number would be before we start slaughtering troops in the tournament πŸ˜‰

But the supply requirements for all these productions are no joke. And that’s in addition to research, upgrades, orcs production etc. So I have added 4 more L1 workshops that would be cooking Advanced Tools non-stop. Obviously, not because L1 WS produce immense amounts of supplies, but because quest cycling transforms 2x Advanced Tools (and 200K coins) into 13K of supplies. Basically, I will be getting extra 26K of supplies every 3 hours, assuming I can keep up with coin production. This should help stabilize supply situation, and I can always add more (until I run into coins shortage). Both are currently impacted by workshop upgrades, which are expensive in coins and supplies. Once I complete those, it should be easier.

After all this province catering goods look tight again (especially T3), but now I should be able to recover. There are no scouted provinces left for now, so goods will be used for research (manageable) and tournaments. And hopefully I will have to do less tournament catering with all those troops from L25 barracks. We’ll see, so stay tuned!
