Elvenar Woodelves – Day 27 [80%]

So, we’re in day 27 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves – Day 26). We have run to the end of the road, and used all available KP buffers that we could muster. Was that enough? Today we’ll find out if yesterday’s trick with Inspired Meditation spell worked, and gave us a bit more time to catch up…

City changes

There are not that many changes in the city today. We’re just chugging along upgrading residences to L23, and now we’re 2/3rds done. Getting close to wrapping up this chapter as well, and it seem that we’re still going to be OK with just 3 builders. So I am not spending diamonds on that Builders’ Hut upgrade just yet.

Tomorrow we will be starting a new long event – Evolution of the Phoenix. I am really excited about that! Well, I am less excited about the event per se, but more so about new event buildings – Phoenixes – that look to be pretty powerful. And there are some other rewards that are nice as well.

The problem, however, is that I really don’t have any space to spare for the temp L1 buildings. I’ll squeeze in a few L1 planks at 2×1 tomorrow, but I have no space even for a single L1 workshop at 2×2. That is, until I finish the chapter in a few days – then with all the reconfiguration I should be able to fit quite a few temp buildings. This event will run for 4 weeks, but I would like to finish it ASAP as usual.

And yes, there will be Wishing Wells in the daily prizes (day 15)! I am so going to crush it πŸ˜‰

Elvenar Woodelves progress

So remember yesterday’s picture of us getting on a brink of tech lock? Well, we deployed Inspired Meditation, and I filled the KP bar up to 14. This was just enough to get the remaining resources and activate Ranger research. We’re in the clear for a couple of days now, filling in Mercenary Camp Improvements. Wohoo! So this is how it looks like now:

Woodelves - Day 27 [80%]

Woodelves – Day 27 [80%]

I wasn’t kidding when I said we’re going down to the wire πŸ˜‰

So we have reached 80% of the chapter, and we’re at exactly 60 KP/day as per the original estimate. This is somewhat spooky, estimates are not supposed to work like that.

More importantly, we’re still projected to be behind on Forest Fabrications productions, but the gap keeps shrinking. This is going to be really close! I am pretty confident that we will be able to activate Mercenary Camp Improvements before time runs out. Subsequent techs? I am not so sure. It will be close – real close – again. Stay tuned!

Scrolls Tournament – recovery and preparation

Recovery mode is on from the tournament perspective. And yep, going with the Sinister Cerberus looks more and more like a really bad idea. We’re on pace to build probably around 60 squads of cerberuses, and that’s about half of my starting line up for the previous tournaments. Worse still, with half the build rate we won’t be able to recover nearly as much in between stages, so we’ll likely run out of troops.

I’ll still run cerberuses for a stage or two, just to see how losses look like comparing to the previous tournaments. Unless I see something surprising there, I will likely switch to Sword Acrobat production – which is currently much faster.

I am actually quite curious to see how specialist troops will fare comparing to the regular barracks production. We will see…

Do you have any notes from the last scrolls tournament? This is my boost week and I haven’t heard anything good about scrolls in the past.

Also you don’t need many armories when you are training cerebus. Wow they are slow and I don’t even have the needles AW

No, I don’t. I only started to make consistent notes on losses about 3 tournaments ago. Having said that, information from that long ago is not as directly comparable to my current stage, or yours. I am pretty sure that last scrolls I didn’t have Sinister Cerberus yet, so likely I did run with Swords Acrobats (and I am not even sure I had that upgrade unlocked yet). I am also certain that back in a day I would run out of troops almost every stage after 1*, so a whole bunch of provinces closer to the end would be catered.

But there was also a time (a while ago) when Training Grounds production was significantly faster than Barracks’!
