So, weβre in day 9 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves β Day 08). My troops domination of this tournament continues. They have won a huge amount of KPs today, and the march continues on! Will they become an unstoppable force? Would I be able to avoid bribing my way through a large part of the tournament? We will see…
City changes
Today was all about upgrades, I haven’t done any material re-arrangements. Finally, I’ve got some some extra pop from residence upgrades, and I used it right away. As I have also got enough orcs, I upgraded another workshop and moved it into its target position. Now only two left to do, one of them is 2 levels down though. Every 36 hours I would get just about enough orcs (2x Armories with 360 orcs per 12 hours production) to do another workshop level, so I should be able to finish moving all of them in about 4 days. This is before I will be able to start guest race settlement buildout, so we’re on track here. I’ll get way more than necessary pop in this timeframe, so that won’t be an issue.
And with the extra pop, I can finally get onto upgrading my manufactories, which was long overdue. I didn’t start with recently unlocked planks though. As I mentioned, I am not low on T1 goods at all (even after selling 2 out of 5 planks at L19), and L19 to L20 pop requirements are really high – more than a 1,000. Granted, this is due to big jump in size and output, but I just don’t feel the pressing need right now.
On the other hand, I haven’t finished my magic dust manufactories upgrade that was available since the Orcs! Well, I managed to start upgrades on both (to L18 and L17), and I would still have 1 and 2 levels available when I get the pop. This would boost my T3 production a bit, and I may get off my Magical Manufacturing fix (have been running it on my T3 manufactories daily).
Elvenar Woodelves progress
Today was the biggest KP day of the tournament, so my total haul was more than 100 KPs. This is always nice, but sometimes is difficult to place when you have settlement goods requirements. Not right now though, we have plenty of research to sink those KP into.
So I activated marble manufactory upgrade today – as anticipated, but I also came very close to completing steel manufactory upgrade. Well, not quite π Doesn’t matter though, as I am obviously not upgrading any of the steel manufactories (I don’t have any, not a boosted good), nor would it unlock any other research. The next research down the pipeline is the Main Hall upgrade, and in addition to manufactories it also needs Squad Size Upgrade 29.
Even after unlocking marble, I still have more than 125K of mana in the inventory. It is climbing up, as well as decay losses. Not for long though, soon I will need all the mana I can scrounge.
After today, I am at 65KP / day on average, which is above the projected rate of 60. Well, it will come down in the next few days as not every day is a 100+ KP day π
Steel Tournament – 2* and 3* day
Today is the biggest tournament day for me, as I do both 2* and 3* rounds. 2* goes all the way to 20 provinces to get those juicy KP rewards, while starting at 3* I am switching to 12 provinces (to get those juicy KP rewards in 5* round later).
And the results from these two rounds are still unbelievable! While I had about 50% higher losses in 2* round, I didn’t do any inefficient catering at all. And I still got 63 squads after that round. And this is usually the heaviest round from the casualties perspective!
Indeed, after I recovered troops in between the rounds, and did 3* round with no inefficient catering either, I still had 72.5 squads remaining. This means is that after winning all the 20x 1* and 2* provinces, and 12x of 3* provinces, I still have more troops left than I’ve ever had at the beginning of any tournament! Wow, just wow!
There are a few caveats though – I did place Unlimited Unit Upgrade booster for extra 25% health, and my Needles of the Tempest at L7 provide 13% damage boost to the archers. Having said that, I used UUU in the most of the recent tournaments as well, and would commonly put 50% damage booster building (e.g. Magnificient Mage Multiplier), so comparisons are definitely valid.
Now the question is, what am I going to do with all those goods that I save on catering? π
