So, we’re in day 31 of Elvenar Orcs chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Orcs – Day 30). The end is near for the Orcs chapter. But the question is, can I recover from the terrible start of the gems tournament? Stay tuned 😉
I am pretty much done with all planned upgrades for this chapter. The Main Hall is maxed out at L21; the last of residences finishes L21, and the Training Grounds is wrapping up its last L12 upgrade. I didn’t plan to upgrade any of the workshops from L19 in this chapter as I didn’t expect to have sufficient pop (due to space committments), but more importantly, because there was no real need for more supplies. Not that L19->L21 is a big improvement for workshops.
The same pop constraint is a reason that I didn’t plan to upgrade T3 manufactories in this chapter. That, and the tech for these upgrades opens up really late in the chapter anyway. But now, it seems that I have a bit more pop than anticipated (mostly due to event buildings), so I will likely run a couple of upgrades on T3. These are very long though (~20 hours), and I generally not overproduce T3. This may necessitate committing some long time boosters for these upgrades – will keep you posted..
Gems Tournament – 2* and 3* day
Today is a second days of the tournament, and double day at that for me (early morning / late night). For the 2* to 5* in the main cycle I go for 12 provinces. Since 1* I only managed to recover about 20 squads, but with the Unlimited Unit Upgrade that was mostly sufficient to cover those 12 provinces. The same could be said for 2* to 3* transition – recovered almost 20 squads, but was good for 10-11 provinces. This is a marked improvement since the terrible 1* day yesterday in terms of losses, so I am getting on the right track. Yet I’d be in much much better shape if I’d put UUU building before the 1* disaster. Lesson learned…
Elvenar Orcs research goods
Research goods – shrooms of wisdom and loot – are definitely running ahead of schedule. Collected shrooms of wisdom today, and activated Rewards and Kisses at 600/2500. This was primarily to dump maxed out loot, as it didn’t open any new techs. So today rally points were working non-stop on loot, and I would be able to activate at least one of the Wooden Trails and Campfire BBQ techs tomorrow. After these two techs are activated, both L3 Cerberus and SS Upgrades would be open. And in the meantime, if necessary, I’d have a KP sink in City Expansion 35 that doesn’t have any dependents.
Incidentally, now I am maxed out on SoWs and after finishing already running production would only need a few SoW loads to wrap up the chapter requirement. Rally points still need to run for a couple of days on armament and loot, while I expect necessary KP accumulation to last for 4-5 days.
