Elvenar Woodelves – Day 08 [24%]

So, we’re in day 8 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves – Day 07). Today was a first day of the steel tournament. And it was also the first day of any tournament where I had L25 barracks. Well, I thought it will be glorious, but I was not prepared to what has actually happened. It was insane! City changes

I keep re-arranging target guest settlement area, preparing it for buildout that is still several days down the road. Workshops continue their slow transition to L22, with 3 completed and in place, and 3 still to go (one of them even L20). This will be kept slow by pace of orcs accumulation.

I decided to stop negotiating map provinces to conserve the orcs – until I complete workshop upgrades. The reason is that I need to get workshops out of the way by the time I unlock settlement buildings; but I am also very far till the next province expansion. I still need 8 more provinces for that, and until then the only thing I will be missing is a few extra KPs. Once I’ve finished workshops move I will get back to negotiating provinces .

I have completed another willow, and that brings total count to 14 and mana production to ~62K a day. As it turns out, this is still not sufficient for my target pace, so will need to add more mana production. I have some ideas 😉

Elvenar Woodelves progress

As anticipated, I unlocked planks manufactory upgrade today. I’ve got a few extra KPs from 1* stage of the tournament, so that helped. I don’t intend to implement the upgrade yet as I have higher priority items to take care first. Activation also reduced my mana inventory, which is good from the decay perspective. You want to keep mana used as fast as you can, you waste it in storage. Having said that, I still have 100K+ of mana in the inventory.

Tomorrow is the biggest KP day, so I expect to activate marble manufactory upgrade (and spend another 35K of mana), and take a good chunk out of steel manufactory upgrade.

At 60KP / day on average as of today, I am bang on target.

Steel Tournament – 1* day

Today is the first active tournament with L25 barracks. Well, my expectations were high, but they were still exceeded! Take a look at the summary table below. So we have started with 112 squads. Let it sink for a minute – 112 squads. That’s insane! After finishing my 20x 1* provinces, I’ve lost 30.5 squads to get down to 81.5 squads. That’s autofighting everything except encounters with 3+ counterunits (those I catered, it’s more efficient).

What that means is that after winning all the 20x 1* provinces I still have more troops left than I’ve ever had at the beginning of any tournament! Insane, I said. Let’s see how next days will look like, but I expect a lot less catering regardless. Question now is, will we be able to finish the tournament without depleting all the troops? Now that would be truly amazing.

And remember me being concerned about supplies? Well, with all this quest cycling I did go all in and actually maxed out my coins and supplies today. I even had to buy some KPs with excess coins. So this set up is sustainable! 😉
