So, we have just started Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see preparation work at Elvenar Woodelves – Planning). I have just started ripping out Orcs settlement, but it will take a few days before it all settles down. The city looks like a complete mess! And we also entered day 1 of the marble tournament. This is going to be pretty hectic 😉
As I mentioned, the city looks like a complete mess. I ripped out Orc portal for a quest, but I am taking it slow with demolishing mushroom farms and rally points. There is huge value locked in those buildings! When you sell one L3 rally point, you will get 1.7mm of coins and 38K of supplies. When you sell one L4 rally point you will get 2.5mm of coins and 69K of supplies. This is huge! L2 mushroom farms are about 14K/10K. But make sure that you’re not hitting the cap on coins or supplies! If you do and you sell a building, you simply lose all these resources.
So I am selling the Orcs buildings slowly, trying to avoid wasting resources. I am also putting down a ton of L1 residences to continue upgrading workshops. This is the only thing I can do while I am researching something new. So I have already upgraded 3 out of 6 workshops to L21. And I ran out of orcs 😉
So the focus for the next few days would be on cleaning up and transitioning the city to that target Woodelves layout. This will be fun!
Elvenar Woodelves progress
As we’re currently in the earliest part of the chapter we can’t build or upgrade anything new. The next research on the list is Weeping Willows, and I am going as fast as I can to unlock it. Then I’ll be spamming those willows, and start stockpiling that mana.
In these circumstances, there is no need to hold back on KP generation to avoid techlock. On the contrary, we want to generate as much KP as fast as we can until we unlock guest race goods at the very least. This means that I will be going the whole 20 provinces in the 2* tournament round tomorrow – this will bring quite a bit of KPs.
We’re a long way till we can build any guest race manufacturing facilities. In the mean time, mana production would be key.
Marble Tournament – 1* day
Marble tournament started today, and I went through the usual 20x 1* provinces. I have started with about 70 squads, and went down to about 27 squads. This means I’ve lost about 43 squads of mages on the first day. Yep, this is a big improvement comparing to the last tournament where I’ve lost 65 squads on day 1!
This time I decided not to fool around, and put down both magnificent mage multuplier (+50% damage) and unleashed unit upgrade (+25% health). Last time around I thought I’d save on UUU building. Such a terrible idea…
I should be able to build out the troops to about 40 squads for day 2. I want to make sure I am saving as much in goods as I can!
