So, we’re in day 3 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves – Day 02). Today was not as hectic as yesterday, with most changes being incremental. But the Orcs are finally gone today – I’ve sold the last of their settlement buildings. Mana production started to roll in, but it might take some time to ramp up production. And we keeping moving at decent pace through the marble tournament. Today was a good day, if not particularly eventful.
I am still going all in on willow construction. Now I am up to 5 live willows, and 3 are being built. And I started to accumulate mana (and be subject to decay…). As willows are expensive, I continued to sell the Orcs buildings. And guess what, today I’ve sold the last Orc mushroom farm! We got rid of the pesky Orcs completely 😉
I have moved residences and workshops around, just to make it neater. That’s not important right now as long as space is not tight. On the other hand, my initial analysis on mana generation shows that I will need more than 9 willows, so I’ll keep building them until I get at least 12. This should be sufficient to cover research costs, but I haven’t factored in settlement goods production yet, so requirements will be higher.
I am getting concerned about build times. I’ll need to run an analysis on whether I actually need to upgrade Builders’ Hut to L4, this might already be a constraint. To that point, building out 3 new residences to L23 (as per initial Plan) will take more than 5 days for each. That’s a lot! So I am contemplating on upgrading one of my event buildings – A homestead and two baby buggies – to Woodelves chapter. This would take 12 restoration spells, but will give me 1360 pop (and some culture) vs 1200 pop for L23 residence. And it takes exactly the same space – 4×3. Basically, 12 RR spells save me 5 days on one builder. This may make sense, but I don’t want to keep upgrading hybrid event buildings on a consistent basis. I’ll keep you posted.
Elvenar Woodelves progress
Pretty slow day. on the chapter progress as today is a low KP tournament day. So we’re slightly more than half into Residences upgrade research, and we should be able to finish KP requirements for that tomorrow. But I am pretty sure that I won’t have enough mana (50K) to unlock it. Most likely it will take another day or so.
As tomorrow is a big KP day in the tournament, we should start putting KPs into Barracks upgrade research. Initial parts of the chapter are always somewhat slow, outside of transitional rebuild. And then it will all snowball 😉
Marble Tournament – 4* day
Managed to recover up to 16 squads, and went my regular 12 provinces fighting most of encounters with 1 or less counterunit (light range). The rest I had to cater as there were no troops left. That’s decent result, catering is not killing me (yet 😉 ) Shrine of Shrewdy Shrooms really did help to keep Barracks occupied at 100% efficiency.
Yesterday’s addition to the Winter Market set is finally impacting my goods inventory. I am getting about 38K of gems every day! So my T3 situation looks pretty good (better than usual), T1 situation looks OK (about average), but my T2 is still definitely below par. We’ll see if I can do some cross-tier trades after the tournament. In the meantime, I am running Magical Manufacturing on my 2x T2 and 2x T3 maunfactories, and it helps.
