So, we’re in day 31 of Elvenar Woodelves chapter (see previous day at Elvenar Woodelves – Day 30). The final transformation of the settlement is currently underway. We’re selling off all the grafting sites! Wait, whaaat? Yep, it is happening. Read below to find out more…
City changes
Today we started the final transformation of the settlement – winding it down. We’re all done with refined steel requirements for the chapter, so there is no need for steel grafting sites anymore. And so I sold all of them, and started filling in the freed up space with additional L1 Forest Fabrications. 2x L1 FFs produce the same as 1x L3 FF, and I should be able to place quite a few of these extras.
This should juice up production of research goods for the last push in unlocking Ancient Wonders of the Woodelves.
I have also started upgrading Blooming Trader Guild to L6, for that extra 2% boost. Apart from time, it is time to start thinking about transitioning to the next chapter!
Elvenar Woodelves progress
Well, this is a usual picture of research by now – practically a tech lock if not for the KP bar. So I am running Inspired Meditation again, and the bar is almost half full already. But we should be able to pull it off once again – I am about one 9 hour cycle of Forest Fabrication productions away from having all the resources to unlock Squad Size Upgrade 31. And I already have everything for the Drone Rider Promotions. As SS upgrade will increase catering costs, I will try to finish as many tournament provinces right before activation this research. This is going to be a ton of KPs that will go into the Ancient Wonders research.
Tomorrow we’re going to activate both gating techs for the Elvenar Ancient Wonders of the Woodelves. Given how much KPs I expect tomorrow, we’ll likely fill in more than half if this research right away.
Scrolls Tournament – 3* and 4* Day
Today we continued to suffer the pain that is scrolls tournament. I am not even sure things would have looked much better if we had enough troops – it seems that significant number of fights end up in straight defeat. But we don’t have troops, so this point is moot.
This tournament is such a meat grinder for the troops. I can’t wait for it to be over… Unfortunately, we won’t be have much clean data for comparison with other weeks – I switched troops along the way, run out completely, catered way more than usual. And it is likely that I will have to take the squad size upgrade before the tournament ends – even though I’ll try to stuff as much as I can right before that moment.
Another reason why this data would be questionable is a fact that I tried to align progression here with quests in the main event line. Specifically, with quests that require completing encounters or gain relics. So fight schedule this week is also all other the place. And the catering drain starts to be noticeable, and we’re not even done yet…
Event – Evolution of the Phoenix
Today is another day in our current 4 week long event – Evolution of the Phoenix. Again, won’t be repeating much what is written elsewhere, so check out these resources:
- Thorough description of the event, mechanics, quests and prizes at Elvenar’s Gems of Knowledge: Evolution of the Phoenix
- Handy spreadsheet of quests and prizes by TomatoeHu: www.tinyurl.com/phoevo (expired). All credit goes to her!
Also check out what I am planning to go for in the day 28 post. So here are my stats so far:
Nothing particularly exciting happened today from the event perspective. I keep accumulating sky essence, and trying to figure out what to spend it on next. I don’t think I will be shooting for 4x14h time boosters on day 9 – it is not as valuable as some other things that are available. So currently, my next target is Burning Pools in Day 13 – and hopefully, a ton of them. I need a ton of mana generation capacity for the next chapters, and I need it in space-efficient package. Burning Pool checks out! 😉
But here might be something ever more exciting later on. By the time we reach Burning Pools, we should be seeing most – if not all – daily prizes. So this may still change. We’ll see…
